Hello

I usually don't post too much, I'm still getting acquainted with these new technologies :) but for what its worth, it was an excellent experience to meet so many different people from all over the world.

We are the human potential, bright or not we are given the choice to be commited to the small endeavours of life. For me a Phd is not a work, it is a lifestyle filled with joy, hope, expectations, sadness and disapointments. It is a game, it is knowledge inside a small box of entropy, and each one of us represents an island of sapience, being our duty to share it.

I hope to learn many great things from all of you, wherever you are, and whatever you decide to do later in life.

Be happy, enjoy, be persistant but fair, know when to celebrate, look defeat in the eyes, raise your heads and in the end of the day, have fun!

Take care,

Miguel

Man! A PhD can't be a lifestyle since you don't have a life anymore!!!
Don't be too lyric!! OK, ... maybe I'm a bit too pessimistic.

Yeah, most of the times Miguel is too lyric... but I think that life as a PhD student (or scientist) has, of course, both sides: the hard and the funny one! For instance, I am not even a PhD student, and I kill myself working, some weeks I don't have time to buy food so I can't eat properly but, on the other hand, this weekend we are going to have lab retreat, watch dolphins and have fun, all for free!! (the lab pays). Other weeks I have time to date, go out with my friends, practice sports, get drunk, have fun... It always depends on the weeks and on your effort to do the things like you want! So, Miguel, don't dream too much and Jean, have fun while you are working!!

Kisses to both of you!
P.S.- miguel we have to take a coffee with Matilde...next week I am available!
